We began our spring / summer travels with a trip to visit Michael's dad and family in Kaufman, Texas. Where, you say? It's outside of Dallas and a little further outside of Terrell, Texas (the famous birthplace of Jamie Fox.) It really was a nice relaxing trip except for our arrival during multiple major tornados sweeping through the Dallas metro area. Luckily, we flew into Austin as it was coming through Dallas so we were just stuck in the airport for the day. It was much worse on the poor people in the path of the storms.
Natalie and Evan really enjoyed meeting their cousin, Mae Rain, and spending time with Mimi and Papa Wray, and their aunts, Chainey and Chelsea. We went to a science museum and dug for fossils and spent the rest of the time in Mimi and Papa's backyard. Oh, serious fun! Here are some pictures from our trip in reverse order and ending with Easter Sunday. Next stop, Rochester, NY in June!
